What is it, that makes human love so captivating? Is it because it is so exclusive and capricious? Do I desire a challenge? This love is complicated. There are no rules for it. It can be given for free, or be earned with time and hard working. Or it can be completely and heartbreaking unattainable. Or is there another reason? Is the other end of the spectrum, across from that we can hate with so much surrender, the fact that we can love with heart and soul and fire? I don't know why I desire it so violently.
